THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY & PSYCHOLOGY AT MAYO CLINIC IN ROCHESTER, MN, IS SEEKING A CLINICAL CHILD PSYCHOLOGIST TO JOIN OUR PRACTICE.
The Department of Psychiatry and Psychology seeks a clinical child psychologist with experience in delivering behavioral health services within an integrated primary care setting. The Division of Integrated Behavioral Health includes a collaborative team of psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, clinical nurse specialists, pediatricians, and family medicine providers.
A child psychologist in this role will be located within the primary care setting, collaborating with the integrated team in the evaluation and evidence-based treatment of behavioral health problems for children and families. The successful applicant will assist in developing and implementing integrative models of care, and participate in research and quality improvement projects that evaluate the impact of these models.
Additional opportunities exist for routine collaboration with colleagues and specialty programs affiliated with the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology Division, and for clinical and research mentorship to psychology postdoctoral fellows, psychiatry residents, and medical students. The psychologist will have an academic appointment in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, with rank commensurate with experience.
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited graduate program, will have completed an APA-accredited internship, will be eligible for licensure in Minnesota and will either have or obtain specialty board certification from the American Board of Professional Psychology within 3 years of starting this position. Experience in the area of integrated pediatric and family medicine settings is strongly preferred.
