Three positions open at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York

PSYCHOLOGIST (Full-time)

University Behavioral Associates (UBA) at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York is seeking a Limited Permit Psychologist or Licensed Psychologist to serve as a supervisor for the Multisystemic Therapy for substance abuse (MST-SA) program funded by the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). The Psychologist will be responsible for conducting group and individual supervision, providing direct clinical training to therapists, reviewing therapist assessments and treatment plans, ensuring all documentation is consistent with MST-SA and ACS requirements, participating in MST training, supervision, and consultation activities, and meeting with families as needed. Psychologist must have evening and/or weekend availability, and be able to provide periodic on-call 24-hour coverage. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated clinical experience with adolescents and/or families, substance use issues, and with providing behaviorally-based treatments, as well as excellent managerial skills and strong organizational ability. Spanish-speaking a plus. Psychologists will receive supervisory training in MST-SA.

SOCIAL WORKER OR SENIOR MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST (Full-time)

University Behavioral Associates (UBA) at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York is seeking a masters-level Social Worker or Senior Mental Health Specialist to serve as a therapist for the Multisystemic Therapy for substance abuse (MST-SA) program funded by the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). More information on this treatment model can be found at: www.mstservices.com. Therapist duties include assessment, treatment, and collaboration with families, youth, and community agency staff. The therapist will function as part of an MST team, will participate in weekly team supervision and consultation, and will document treatment efforts consistent with MST-SA and ACS guidelines. Therapist must be available to provide services in the home or community settings, including evening and/or weekend availability, and to provide periodic on-call 24-hour coverage. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated clinical experience with adolescents and/or families, substance use issues, and with providing behaviorally-based treatments, and will possess excellent organizational skills. Spanish-speaking a plus. Therapists will receive training in MST-SA.

PSYCHOLOGIST (Full-time)

The Substance Abuse Treatment Program is seeking a full time licensed psychologist to provide individual and group psychotherapy to adults receiving comprehensive medical and substance abuse services in our programs. The psychologist will be part of a multidisciplinary team of medical providers, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and substance abuse counselors. In addition to providing psychotherapy, the candidate has an opportunity to participate in program-wide clinical initiatives, and supervision and teaching of interns and residents.
