Clinical/Community Research Post Doc at USC

The Department of Psychology in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at the University of Southern California invites applications for a Post-doctoral clinical/community research position.  The responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of a communication campaign to teach Spanish-speaking residents in the city of San Fernando and nearby communities to recognize psychosis, and to oversee the data management of the campaign’s evaluation.  The full-time position requires excellent Spanish language and English language skills, a strong background in clinical/community research, and very good oral presentation skills. Strong leadership skills are also needed as the young scholar will oversee the work of 5 community educators and 1 project assistant.  The position is part of a recently funded community research project to reduce the duration of untreated psychosis among Spanish-speaking Latinos. The postdoctoral fellow will have opportunities to contribute to publications and grant writing.

The review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a statement describing their relevant research and community/clinical experiences, evidence of their scholarly interests, and three letters of recommendation.  Apply by email to Dr. Steven R. Lopez (lopezs@usc.edu), a Professor of Psychology and Social Work at USC.
