NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College Postdoctoral Fellowships in Adult Clinical Psychology

The Department of Psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (NYPH) Westchester Division in White Plains, New York is accepting applications for a two-year postdoctoral psychology fellowship position available in our Adult Outpatient Division.

The Adult Track fellowship aims to prepare the next generation of scientist-practitioners for careers in academic research and clinical applications. In consultation with a member of the psychology faculty, the fellow will develop a plan to address specific training goals. Fellows will be based in the adult outpatient clinic, where they will engage in the evaluation and treatment (individual and group-based) of adults presenting with a wide range of diagnoses. Fellows will have the option of working on one of the many specialty inpatient units of the hospital (e.g., Women’s Inpatient CBT, Affective Disorders, Personality Disorders), where there are opportunities to participate in program development and supervision of psychology externs. A variety of didactics are offered for adult fellows to enhance their training experience and engage in professional development (e.g., CBT, DBT, Listening Process, Personality Disorders Institute, CBT for Psychosis). Participation in clinical research activities is an emphasis of the program, and fellows will be matched with a research mentor based on their mutual interests. Fellows may work with research mentors at either the White Plains or Manhattan campus.
