Research Analyst Position at The Institute for Social Research

The Institute for Social Research (ISR) at California State University, Sacramento is seeking to fill one position at the level of either Research Analyst I (RA I) or Research Analyst II (RA II). Founded in 1989, ISR is a multi-disciplinary applied social science center that performs population-based survey research, program evaluation, workload studies, and a wide range of data analytic services for government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions; annual project activity ranges between $1 and $2 million. Both RA I and RA II's perform all aspects of research design, data collection, analysis, project management, client interfacing and report writing -- and both report to the ISR Director. The RA II position carries additional responsibility and requires more experience (and preferably a PhD), but both positions require excellent skills in data management, advanced statistical analysis, and communication (both oral and written) — as well as a commitment to applying the scientific method in the service of ameliorating social ills. Bilingual applicants and those with survey sampling/weighting expertise are particularly encouraged. Deadline for applying: October 22, 2013.
