Description    The Psychology Department at Sacramento State is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor position in Applied Psychology.  Candidates’ areas of content specialization may come from a number of sub-disciplines within Psychology.  Preferences for an applied area of research including but not limited to community, counseling/clinical, developmental, health, political, social, or sports psychology; and ability to develop community partnerships with a focus on underrepresented populations.  Teaching will include undergraduate and/or graduate research methods and statistics courses, core courses in the candidate’s area of specialization, and capstone courses.  The successful candidate will teach and advise at both undergraduate and graduate levels; supervise graduate student thesis projects; maintain an active research program involving students; develop community partnerships and supervise undergraduate fieldwork; and provide service to the department, college, university, community and profession.  College level teaching and research experience is highly desired. Applicants in final stages of their dissertations will be considered provided all degree requirements are met no later than January 15, 2015.
