Tenure Track faculty position in Child Clinical Psychology at SIU

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY CARBONDALE—PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT.  Assistant Professor (tenure track) in Child Clinical Psychology, to begin August 16, 2014, 9 month, continuing appointment.  Qualifications: Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited Clinical Psychology program with an APA- or CPA-accredited internship completed before August 15, 2014.  ABD applicants will be considered if all degree requirements will be met by August 15, 2014.  If all requirements for the Ph.D. are not completed by 8/15/2014, a 9-month term appointment may be offered at the rank of Instructor at a reduced rate of pay. Postdoctoral experience is preferred. Applicants must have academic training and expertise in child-clinical psychology. Applicants must have a record of relevant teaching experience and of scholarly productivity with the potential for excellence in developing a funded research program.  The area of research specialization is open; however, applicants with expertise in child behavior therapy, parenting interventions, or pediatric psychology are preferred.  The ability to teach one or more of the following courses is preferred: Child Behavior Therapy, Pediatric Psychology, and Advanced Child Psychology.  Duties include teaching a combination of graduate and undergraduate courses, one of which is graduate practicum supervision, with other courses determined by the applicant’s background; service on M.A. and Ph.D. student committees; maintaining an active and successful research program; and appropriate service.
