Job Opportunity for Part-time Research Therapist at Providence VA Medical Center

We are currently seeking to hire a part-time research study therapist for a randomized clinical study to evaluate the efficacy of a suicide prevention program for veterans conducted at the Providence Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a manual-based intervention to veterans who have been hospitalized for suicidal behavior (attempt or significant ideation) at the Providence VAMC.  All clinical work will be conducted within the Providence VAMC. Successful candidates will receive training and supervision by Jennifer M. Primack, Ph.D. (principal investigator) and Brandon Gaudiano, Ph.D. (co-investigator). We are seeking to hire a therapist at 35% effort (14 hours per week). 

Applicants must have a master’s degree in a mental health field (e.g., social work or counseling, psychology).
