Clinical Licensed Faculty Position at Miami University

MIAMI UNIVERSITY —CLINICAL/PROFESSIONALLY LICENSED FACULTY POSITION IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY. The Department of Psychology at Miami University invites applications for a Clinical/Professionally Licensed Faculty Position in Clinical Psychology, to begin August 2014.  The position is a continuing, non-tenure track, nine month academic appointment which will entail full-time responsibilities over the nine month academic year and the provision of continuing supervision of graduate students’ clinical work over the summer months on a part-time basis.  By the time of appointment, candidates must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited clinical or counseling psychology program, an APA-accredited internship, and completed most eligibility requirements for licensure as a psychologist in the State of Ohio (e.g., passed EPPP, all supervised clinical hours complete).  Ohio law allows for the completion of supervised hours required for licensure during pre-doctoral training and internship.  See http://www.psychology.ohio.gov/licensing.stm regarding licensure requirements in Ohio.  Current licensure as a psychologist in Ohio and experience providing clinical supervision are preferred. 
Primary responsibilities of the position entail providing high quality, clinical supervision to doctoral graduate students in the area of adult psychotherapy in our state-of -the-art Psychology Clinic, and teaching courses in the graduate and undergraduate curricula. The successful applicant will have expertise in interpersonal and/or other evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, mindfulness-based, ACT, DBT). Candidates that integrate interpersonal and evidence-based approaches to clinical work are preferred.  Clinical experience with diverse populations and expertise in multicultural issues is highly desirable.  Expertise in personality assessment is also desired.  Additional responsibilities entail full faculty participation in the clinical area graduate program (e.g., involvement in faculty meetings, curriculum development, service on theses, comprehensive exam and dissertation committees) and University service.
