Part Time Job: Child Therapist at Manhattan Psych Group

Manhattan Psychology Group, PC (MPG) seeks to hire a part-time child therapist to join our growing private psychology practice in Manhattan.
 
Joshua Rosenthal, PsyD is the managing partner of MPG, which operates out of two offices on the UWS and UES in Manhattan. MPG is a thriving private treatment group that provides psychological services for children, adolescents and adults, and owns the eDRC (Electronic Daily Report Card) system and Big Apple Day Program, the only behaviorally-oriented social skills treatment camp in Manhattan.

Seeking applicant with at least 1 year post-licensure experience treating child (ages 5+) and adolescent anxiety, mood disorders, and ADHD and modality experience providing CBT, behavioral parent training, and creating school and home DRCs. 

Preferred if applicant also has experience treating HFA/Asperger’s, executive dysfunction, sleeping/eating/toileting issues, and anger-management and modality experience providing psychodynamic psychotherapy, family therapy, and social skills training.

Therapist would make his/her own schedule and have access to see patients at an office on the UWS or UES in Manhattan. Must be available at least 2-3x/week after school.

Position is ideal in that it requires minimal administrative duties with non-insurance patients. Plus, there is administrative support with scheduling, patient correspondences, and paperwork. Candidate would receive regular supervision from Dr. Rosenthal and operate as part of a comprehensive treatment team.

Therapist must be licensed (psychologist, social worker) in New York State to practice independently with own malpractice insurance and NPI number.

Pay is a competitive percentage of gross income based on experience. No benefits.

Position is ideal for someone with a current part-time job with children (school, hospital, agency, etc…) but who does not already have their own or work at another private practice in Manhattan. Additional opportunities to lead social skills groups and participate at Big Apple Day Program.

Position would start ASAP.
