The Department of Psychology at Utah State University invites applications for a 75-100% FTE Clinical Assistant Professor position to support selected needs in the undergraduate program and graduate programs in School Psychology and Combined, Clinical, Counseling school psychology.  Position begins August 2014. Teaching in the distance-based School Counseling program and on-line undergraduate program may also be part of the teaching duties.  Clinical supervision of on-campus doctoral students is expected.  The FTE will be negotiated with the applicant selected for the position.  This is a term-appointment which will be automatically renewed, pending adequate funding and faculty performance, in accordance with USU code.  The expected teaching load for this position is 3 to 4 courses (including clinical supervision) each fall and spring.
Utah State University is located within the beautiful mountain ranges of the Cache Valley in Northeastern Utah, approximately 85 miles from Salt Lake City. The area provides a wealth of recreational possibilities, a high quality of life, and an affordable cost of living.  
Responsibilities include:
1)    Teaching 3 to 4 courses each fall and spring semester.  One of these courses will be Psy 7350 Integrated Practicum with Adults, Adolescents, and Children providing clinical supervision to PhD students on adolescent and child cases.
2)    Contributing to the departmental mission of excellence in teaching.
3)    Providing service contributions to the college, university, and department.  Service activities might include sitting on relevant committees.
Minimum Qualifications include:
1)    Earned doctoral degree in psychology or a closely related field by August 2014.  Degree must be from an APA/CPA or similarly accredited doctoral program.

2)    Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a Psychologist in Utah

3)    Experience providing clinical services to children and/or adolescents with a focus on evidence-based interventions such as behavioral parent training

4)    Experience in conducting comprehensive evaluations for children and/or adults with learning and behavior difficulties

5)    Evidence of excellent teaching potential

6)    Ability to develop and maintain collegial relationships

Preferred Qualifications include: 

1)    Evidence of effective teaching in higher education

2)    Experience teaching distance-delivery courses (on-line and/or interactive videoconferencing).

3)    Licensed as a Psychologist for at least two years.

4)    Experience providing clinical supervision to psychology graduate students or other trainees.

5)    Current educator license in school psychology or school counseling or eligible for Utah educator license in one of these fields.

6)    Completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship
