Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota

Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow Position:
Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota is a not-for-profit, comprehensive health care provider serving the diverse needs of children from infancy through adolescence. With 316 staffed hospital beds, we are the sixth largest children's health care organization in the U.S., with services available in all major pediatric specialties.

Position Expectations:  This is a one year fellowship, starting in early September 2014. The postdoctoral fellow would be expected to provide a broad range of psychological services to both inpatient medical and outpatient populations on the St. Paul campus, with the expectation for 20 hours of direct service each week. This includes psychological evaluations, therapy, and inpatient consultation to children, adolescents, and families as well as collaboration and consultation with other health and educational professionals. The fellow will also spend 4 hours per week in the diabetes clinics working with pediatric type 1 diabetes patients. Additional opportunities available for formal presentations to staff and interns and community members, development of a research protocol, didactic seminars for interns, and numerous case presentations for Psychology staff/interns. The postdoctoral fellow will work toward licensure and obtain needed supervision hours (2 hours/week).  Postdoctoral fellow will earn $40,000, benefits typical for a new employee, as well as two days for education and conferences plus $500 for professional memberships and/or conference costs. 

Qualifications:
- Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology
- Completion of both an APA-approved graduate training program and APA-accredited doctoral internship
- License eligible in the State of Minnesota once obtains required year of postdoctoral supervision
- Broad range of experience in assessment and therapy with children, adolescents, and families, including pediatric medical populations
