Clinical faculty position- Children's Hospital Colorado

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Children’s Hospital Colorado invites applications for the position of Child and Adolescent Psychologist.  The Section of Pediatric Behavioral Health is a vital and growing research and teaching section in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.  This section has recently completed an ambitious strategic plan which includes recruitment of more than 10 faculty positions over the course of the next year.  Based at the Anschutz Medical and Research Campus, the Section of Pediatric Psychiatry benefits from affiliation with world class interdisciplinary professional education, research programs and clinical services.

Job Responsibilities:   The Child and Adolescent Psychologist must demonstrate expertise in the use of evidence-based treatment approaches with children and adolescents.  Specifically, this position will work to provide outpatient services to a wide spectrum of behavioral health disorders.  The appropriate candidate will collaborate with families, physicians, and other providers to ensure the continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services.  The Child and Adolescent Psychologist will provide individual, group, family, and psychological assessment as well as supervision of trainees, in addition to assisting with program development and protocols. 

Required Qualifications:  Applicants must possess a Colorado Psychologist License or be eligible for licensure within the state of Colorado.  Must  have significant prior experience in a psychiatric setting serving children and adolescents, have completed an APA-approved Ph.D. or Psy.D training program, including an APA-approved internship.
Must obtain Medical staff privileges at Children’s Hospital Colorado. 

Preferred Qualifications: Clinical experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry preferred.  Leadership and teaching experience valued.
