Postdoctoral Position at University of Kentucky

The Center for Drug Abuse Research Translation (CDART) at the University of Kentucky is recruiting a postdoctoral scholar to coordinate a study of a brief mindfulness-based intervention designed to reduce substance use and other impulsive behavior in undergraduate students high in negative urgency (the tendency to act rashly when distressed). Duties will include all aspects of managing the study, including recruiting participants, scheduling sessions, delivering brief mindfulness-based and cognitive-behavioral interventions to small groups of students, data collection, analysis, and writing. The position includes opportunities to collaborate on other CDART studies and access to CDART’s large data base for the development of
additional manuscripts. The position is for 1 year and is renewable for up to another two years, contingent upon satisfactory progress. Start date is flexible and could be as early as July 1, 2014. Please send a CV and cover letter describing relevant experience and research interests to Ruth Baer, Professor of Psychology, University of Kentucky, rbaer@email.uky.edu.
