Psychologist – Hasbro Children’s Partial Hospital and Med/Psych Inpatient Programs

The Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI, a Lifespan partner and major teaching hospital of Brown Medical School, is seeking a Pediatric or Child Clinical Psychologist to serve within their partial hospital day treatment program for children with complex medical and psychological issues.  The Hasbro Partial Hospital is a collaborative program of the Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  The program provides intensive, family centered, multidisciplinary intervention for children who have complex medical and psychological issues.  Children present with a wide range of illnesses including pain disorders, somatoform disorders, eating disorders as well as a vast range of chronic medical illnesses complicated by non-adherence which have been unresponsive to standard outpatient treatment. The psychologist will provide individual, family, and group therapy within the program. While the position is primarily clinical, we welcome applicants who have interests in clinical research. There may be opportunities for teaching psychology, psychiatry, and pediatric residents.  The candidates may be eligible for a clinical appointment at Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University.
