The College of Science is seeking either a full-time or a half-time Research Coordinator/Assessment Clinician in the newly established Virginia Tech Center for Autism Research (VTCAR). This position provides a unique opportunity to be part of a college-wide, multi-disciplinary center focused on collaborative research on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental conditions across the lifespan. Housed in the College of Science, VTCAR builds on the basic science and clinical resources of Virginia Tech, including capabilities in genotyping, neuroimaging, biomedical and chemical engineering, computer science, developmental psychology, cognitive and behavioral therapies, student support services, and more. Depending upon qualifications, position will be the successful candidate will be involved in conducting comprehensive behavioral assessments consisting of the Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R), the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2), measures of cognitive and adaptive functioning, and psychosocial measures of risk/resiliency and environmental supports. This position will also provide support to the VTCAR Director in daily operations of the Center and work with faculty affiliates in facilitating, organizing, and coordinating collaborative research projects, including grant-management assistance and maintenance of a central research database.
