Job announcement for Clinical Psychology Professor position

SOUTHERN METHODIST UNIVERSITY. Position No. 052695. The Department of Psychology in Dedman College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment in Clinical Psychology. The position begins inAugust, 2015. A Ph.D. is required at the time of the appointment. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain a highly productive research program that can generate external funding and that would appeal to graduate students in our APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Research areas of special interest include, but are not limited to: psychopathology or health intervention or prevention research (with adults or children), and research on biological markers of psychopathology. The department is in the process of developing a psychological services clinic, and we are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute meaningfully to the clinical training of doctoral students. Current faculty members have developed strong collaborative relationships with medical centers and community agencies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, offering access to special clinical populations and high-tech medical facilities.
