Postdoctoral Fellow in Psychology, Boston Children’s Hospital Boston, Refugee Trauma and Resilience Center

The Refugee Trauma and Resilience at Boston Children’s Hospital is currently recruiting a postdoctoral fellow.  The fellow will be involved in research activities related to a federally-funded study of trauma, mental health, and violence among Somali refugees, as well as projects related to intervention development and evaluation. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible study and program coordination, and will assist the PI Heidi Ellis in data analysis and manuscript/grant writing, and report-writing.  This position offers mentorship and career development opportunities through an active, multidisciplinary research program at the Program of Behavioral Sciences in the Department of Psychiatry at Children’s Hospital Boston, and an appointment as Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the area of cross-cultural research, trauma and violence, and/or violent extremism.   Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills will be important.  Strong multivariate statistical analysis skills required.  Must work well in a collaborative, interdisciplinary, multi-cultural team environment.  Please apply by sending electronic copies of your Letter of Interest, Current CV, a writing sample, and three letters of reference to Ms. Carol Berne at carol.berne@childrens.harvard.edu.
