Clinical Coordinator/Post-Doctoral Fellow – Child and Adolescent Clinic, University of Houston.

Applications are being accepted for a full-time clinic coordinator and clinician at the University of Houston (UH) to work closely with Drs. Candice Alfano and Carla Sharp. The coordinator will be responsible for coordinating joint child and adolescent clinics within the department of Psychology at UH and for providing clinic services. We are looking for a strong clinician who also has excellent administration and leadership skills. Previous training and clinical experience in providing cognitive and behavioral interventions for youth with a range of emotional and behavioral problems, including anxiety, depression, and interpersonal/family difficulties is required. We are particularly interested in clinicians with previous training in behavioral sleep interventions and/or DBT for adolescents. Duties will include all aspects of clinic coordination, carrying a range of child and adolescent cases, supervision of doctoral students, and collaboration with senior staff. Opportunities to supervise graduate and undergraduate students, participate in several ongoing research projects, author manuscripts, and present at national conferences are available. Supervision from a Texas-licensed psychologist will be provided. Eligible candidates should have exceptional clinical, organizational, and communication skills. A master’s or doctoral degree in clinical psychology is preferred but applications from candidates with a degree in a related field are welcome. Master’s level applicants should have at least 3 years of full-time experience providing evidence-based interventions for youth.
