Full-Time Research Assistant Opening - Children's National in Washington DC

Research Opportunity
Start Date: Position Open Immediately

Looking for a bachelor’s or master’s level research assistant with interest in health and/or child psychology for a full-time paid position, including a competitive benefits package.  Become part of a clinical research team, under the supervision of Dr. Randi Streisand, with ongoing projects conducted through Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.  NIH funded studies explore child and family adjustment to, and management of, childhood diabetes. 
 
Responsibilities include:
·        Enrolling participants into project
·        In-person and telephone interviewing/surveying parents and/or children
·        Conducting medical record reviews
·        Data entry/management
·        Supervise and train undergraduate assistants and delegate lab responsibilities
·        Assist with editing of manuscripts, maintaining research ethical compliance

Research Opportunities include:
·        Experience on prospective, clinical research studies with potential for presentations and publications.
·        Preparation for graduate school in psychology, public health, or medicine!

* One-year minimum commitment.
* Reliable transportation/willingness to travel to metro area study sites is required.
* Evening hours for phone calls required.
