Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology (Core Faculty Position) – Florida Institute of Technology

The PsyD program in Clinical Psychology invites applications for a Core Faculty position beginning August 2015.  The specialty area is open, however applicants with experience in teaching and/or research in diversity areas of any clinical specialty are especially encouraged to apply.  The successful applicant will have ½ time responsibility as Director of Clinical Training (DCT), with the other ½ time assigned to research mentoring and either teaching or supervision as dictated by program need.  Teaching can be in a number of areas that past candidate experience supports, with forensics, addictions, family therapy models and group therapy models particularly of interest, all including a diversity focus and an applied research program. Candidates with the ability to attract external funding are especially encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be license eligible in Florida, and expected to engage in a program of applied research with the potential to make a significant contribution to the literature and the field of clinical psychology.  Additional activities include professional service to the program, university, and profession. Preference will be given to applicants who graduated from an APA accredited PhD or PsyD program in clinical or counseling psychology.

Florida Institute of Technology is a small (approximately 4600 students), private university located in the middle of Florida’s east coast. It is ranked as a Tier 1 Best National University by US News and World Report and among the top 200 universities in the world. The PsyD program
