Postdoctoral Fellowships in Pediatric Psychology
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

The Department of Psychology, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH), Memphis, TN, is soliciting applications for postdoctoral fellowships with an emphasis on children with cancer, hematological disorders including sickle cell disease, and infectious diseases (HIV/AIDS) and childhood cancer survivors. The primary goal of the fellowship program is to rigorously train future pediatric psychologists in the provision of clinical service and research with pediatric patients with cancer, hematological disorders, and HIV/AIDS. Multiple clinical investigator postdoctoral positions in pediatric psychology are available.

This is a 2-year commitment with a focus on both clinical and research activities. Flexibility may be given to fellows with regard to balance of clinical and research responsibilities. Fellows receive clinical training in assessment and intervention with infants through young adults.

Openings are available in the following research areas:
(1) health behavior in cancer survivors with Dr. James Klosky
(2) health promotion and adherence across pediatric oncology, HIV, and sickle cell disease populations with Dr. Lisa Ingerski
(3) coping, adjustment, resilience, and psychological growth with Dr. Sean Phipps
(4) health promotion and transition to adult care in sickle cell disease with Dr. Jerlym Porter

Clinical populations served include infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer, sickle cell disease and other hematological disorders, and HIV/AIDS. All positions emphasize clinical investigation and offer supervised clinical hours for those desiring licensure. St. Jude is a recognized APPIC member (www.appic.org). Opportunities for collaborations are available with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and the University of Memphis, Department of Psychology. Salary is competitive and consistent with NIH fellowship guidelines.

Requirements
A PhD or PsyD in clinical, counseling, or school psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited doctoral program is required.
