Postdoctoral Fellowship Position at Nemours/AI duPont Hospital for Children

Center for Healthcare Delivery Science Fellowship in Oncology Research:
·         Major Emphasis:  Research in Pediatric Oncology
·         Minor Emphasis:  Child Clinical/chronic illness

The Center for Healthcare Delivery Science (CHDS) at Nemours Pediatric Healthcare System invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral psychology fellowship, starting in July or September 2015.  The CHDS is a research center across the Nemours system, co-directed by Anne E. Kazak, PhD, ABPP and Tim Wysocki, PhD, ABPP.  Healthcare delivery science is the application of scientific methods and principles to the analysis of variables and processes that affect the delivery, safety, outcomes, cost, quality and value of pediatric healthcare. This position is based in Wilmington, DE at A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children although the fellow will also collaborate with other multidisciplinary investigators from the CHDS and throughout the Nemours children’s health system in the Delaware Valley and Florida.

We are seeking an individual interested in research in pediatric cancer related to factors associated with pediatric healthcare delivery and outcomes who aspires to an academic research career.  He/She will be mentored on research by Dr. Anne E. Kazak and will join the team as part of Cancer Delivery Science in the Nemours NCORP . 

The fellow.  The Fellow is expected to develop his/her own research projects and will receive mentored guidance in the preparation of manuscripts and development of grant proposals.  Approximately 25% of the fellow’s time will be devoted to clinical work in the Division of Behavioral Health at AIDHC.  The fellow will also participate in training opportunities with other fellows in the Division of Behavioral Health and will accrue the hours necessary for licensure by the completion of fellowship.
