Clinical Research Post-doc Fellow at the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Westchester Division

Weill Cornell Medical College’s Department of Psychiatry is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Post-doctoral Fellow interested in research in treatment and/or clinical services with adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders to join our research for 2 years at the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain (CADB) at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Westchester Division in White Plains, New York.  The individual will be expected to develop a fundable small scale research program for adults and adolescents with ASD that includes the study of behaviors, interventions and/or methods that will have immediate impact on the lives of individuals with ASD. The Fellow will have the opportunity to receive additional training and specialization in clinical research methods and design, approaches to statistical design and ASD research in other areas.  They will join a small research faculty within CADB and the greater Weill Cornell and Columbia research communities and will have access to training and opportunities through both institutions. . The Fellow will have limited clinical responsibilities as part of an interdisciplinary team and is  be expected to be able to work well with, individuals with ASD, their  families and clinicians.  The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background Autism Spectrum Disorders or other developmental disorders, have had significant success in research as a graduate student and a commitment to research with adults and adolescents with ASD.  Experience with the use of the ADOS and ADI-R, and the application of evidenced-based intervention approaches is a preference. 
Minimum requirements:  Applicants must have a Ph.D. and be license-eligible in New York State for a clinical degree in psychology or social work minus the postdoctoral year.   Start Date: July 1 or September 1, 2015.
