The UCF RESTORES (University Center for Research and Treatment On Response to Extreme Stressors) is recruiting a postdoctoral associate to join the research activities of the center, to begin on July 1, 2015. UCF RESTORES is a clinical research center dedicated to the study of all facets of anxiety, trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) including etiology, psychopathology, treatment resilience and prevention. A unique feature of UCF RESTORES is the development and use of established and emerging technologies to enhance prevention and intervention efforts. UCF RESTORES has federally funded research programs in the use of virtual-reality augmented exposure therapy for the treatment of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans with PTSD, the effects of military deployment on spouses and children, and the use of virtual reality to treat youth with social anxiety disorder. The postdoctoral associate will be engaged in all facets of the center, providing assessment and intervention to adults and children, including the use of virtual reality and other technologies designed to augment and disseminate empirically-supported treatments. Other activities include participation in development of new initiatives of the center, including grant applications to further support the work of the center. The associate will participate in data analysis and manuscript preparation, and provide supervision of graduate and undergraduate research assistants

Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in clinical psychology and a pre-doctoral clinical psychology internship, both from programs accredited by the American Psychological Association. Experience providing exposure therapy and other behavioral treatments to individuals with anxiety disorders required.
