Clinical Pain Psychologist Position

The Department of Psychiatry, Division of Integrated Care, Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI, a Lifespan partner and major teaching hospital of Brown Medical School, anticipates an opening for a full time clinical health psychologist to provide outpatient psychotherapy services (group and individual) and pre-surgical evaluations to patients presenting with chronic pain and/or co-morbid psychiatric disorders within the Comprehensive Spine Center, a multidisciplinary, comprehensive pain service. The available position is primarily clinical, however, we welcome applicants who have interests in clinical research and outcome evaluation. There may be opportunities for clinical teaching and candidates may be eligible for a clinical appointment at Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University.

Applicants should have extensive experience evaluating and treating chronic pain disorders as well as history of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.  Requirements include a PhD with an APA-approved internship, post-doctoral fellowship, and  licensed or license eligible in Rhode Island.
