The School Psychology Program, in the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, at Rutgers University invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track appointment, rank open, for Fall 2016.  Our APA accredited and NASP approved Psy.D. program prepares students to provide school psychological services that are evidence-based, culturally sensitive, collaborative, and coordinated with other educational and organizational practices.  Our program focuses on supporting the emotional and social development and learning of children and youth, and the importance of context and systems in the delivery of psychological services.  
In recognition of the importance of coordinated, integrated health and mental health care and the link between health problems, mental health problems, and learning, our program is expanding education and training in child and adolescent behavioral health. We are seeking candidates with a focused interest in developing doctoral coursework and practica, developing research opportunities in behavioral health, and increasing collaboration with faculty members and departments in the medical school and other health professions. 
The successful candidate will have demonstrated effective teaching in an area relevant to provision of psychological services for children and adolescents or school psychology, along with a documented program of research in one or more of the following areas:  a) child and adolescent behavioral health; b) pediatric school psychology; c) systems approaches to psychological service delivery for children and adolescents;  and d) child and adolescent health disparities and differential access to high quality care.  The successful candidate will also be eligible for psychology licensure in New Jersey.  Commitment and ability to prepare students to work with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds is also essential.  We encourage applicants who would enhance the diversity of our faculty.
