Message from Erika Lawrence, Editor of Clinical Science:
The Fall 2009 issue of Clinical Science is attached. The focus of this issue of the newsletter is on the role of psychologists in torture. The SSCP Board wrote a formal statement against torture, which is published in full in the newsletter. David Tolin and Jeffrey Lohr also wrote an article to accompany this statement, in which they summarize the history of this debate within APA (and other relevant organizations).
On the lighter side, there are several announcements about awards and upcoming conferences, as well as about our new SSCP website.
