Pelham Receives "Distinguished Scientist Award" from SSCP

From Varda Shoham, SSCP President:

Dear all,

On behalf of the SSCP Board, it is my distinct honor and pleasure to let you know that we have selected Professor Bill Pelham to receive the SSCP 2012 Distinguished Scientist Award. Congratulations Bill!

This award is given each year to an individual who has made extremely important career contributions to the science of clinical psychology. The past two years winners are Tom Widiger (2010) and Dick Bootzin (2011).

Dr. Pelham is an exemplar clinical scientist who took the treatment for children with ADHD all the way from treatment generation and refinement through efficacy and effectiveness studies, and to highly successful dissemination and implementation efforts here and abroad. HIs contribution to the science of clinical psychology have been significant, scholarly, cutting edge, and socially important.

Please join me in congratulating Bill.

Best wishes for happy holidays,

Varda Shoham
SSCP President
