Immediate Opening for Clinical Psychologist - Integrated Care Faculty Member at East Caroline University

The Department of Family Medicine, East Carolina University seeks an innovative full-time junior faculty member for its developing Integrated Care Program. This is a transformative department, implementing the Patient-Centered Care in all aspects of education, teaching, and research.

The successful candidate will function as a member of the research and development team in the Center for Integrated Care Delivery focused on the implementation and conduct of a new program: TeleTEAM Care: Bringing the healthcare team to needy diabetic patients in underserved communities. This new program is supported by grants from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust and is designed to evaluate the clinical and pragmatic effectiveness, and cost-efficiency, of delivering team-based care (e.g., psychologist, dietician, clinical pharmacist) for underserved patients with diabetes and co-morbid disease/behavioral challenges (e.g., inappropriate eating behaviors, inadequate medication-taking behaviors, physical inactivity, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, etc) via a telehealth system directly into rural primary care practices at the time of primary care visit. 

The successful candidate will join other members of the Project Team within our new state-of-the-art Family Medicine Center. This position offers the appropriate candidate the opportunity for clinical program research, model development, dedicated medical resident and clinical health psychology doctoral student teaching, and provision clinical services within a comprehensive integrated health setting.

East Carolina University, a campus of the University of North Carolina, in Greenville, NC has a student enrollment of over 27,000.  The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center which serves as its primary teaching hospital and is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health.

Fixed Term Faculty Appointment in Family Medicine, compensation, and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Minimum qualifications include a completion of Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. License as a Psychologist and Health Service Provider Psychologist in North Carolina required.  Previous experience in Integrated Primary Care settings, Clinical Health Psychology, and/or Behavioral Medicine is preferred.
