2014 Complimentary APS Membership for SSCP Members

We wanted to make you aware of a great opportunity:

In celebration of all that has been accomplished on behalf of clinical science, APS is offering SSCP student members who are not already APS members a chance to join APS at no charge (we hope our current APS clinical science students understand). This is a no-strings, complimentary membership through the end of 2014. Just click the link below and fill out the form.

Like SSCP, APS has a stake in advancing clinical science, particularly for students. This year we worked with the U.S. House of Representatives on a Department of Veterans Affairs bill so that the VA will recognize a new accreditation system for psychology internships, the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS). Last year APS worked with Congress so that the National Science Foundation would allow NSF Fellowship applications from clinical science students, something NSF previously discouraged. This kind of Congressional and Federal Agency recognition of your student training reflects the growing stature of clinical science as a way for improving public health.

Other indicators? How about Clinical Psychological Science - APS’s newest journal – which publishes advances in clinical science and provides a venue for cutting-edge research across a wide range of conceptual views, approaches, and topics? Or all the clinical science at the APS Annual Convention?  Here is a sample of what happened in 2013: http://www.psychologicalscience.org/r/clinical

Hope you are able to take advantage of this great offer!
