Available Post-Doctoral Fellowship in PCIT at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine

One full-time postdoctoral fellowship position is available through the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will be primarily involved in providing Parent-Child Interaction Therapy services to families and conducting PCIT-related research.  At the UM PCIT Clinic, we serve families with children with significant disruptive behavior problems; children who are at-risk for child maltreatment; and children with developmental concerns and co-morbid disruptive behaviors.  Current areas of PCIT research include the use of PCIT and mobile technology; the impact of emotional regulation of PCIT processes and outcomes; and PCIT community dissemination. However, there is flexibility for postdoctoral fellows to develop and implement their own focus of PCIT research.

Qualifications for this position include completion of an APA-approved internship in child clinical or pediatric psychology. Preference for these positions will be given to qualified individuals with an APA-approved Ph.D. and to qualified individuals who have a strong clinical training background in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and/or pediatric outpatient therapy (e.g., behavioral parent training, cognitive behavioral therapy). Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English), but not required.
