Assistant Professor University of South Dakota

The University of South Dakota, Department of Psychology, seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position within its APA accredited Ph.D. Clinical Psychology Program. 

The Clinical Psychology Program seeks candidates who will lead an active research program, teach graduate and undergraduate classes, and supervise student research and clinical training. Starting date will be mid-August, 2014. Applicants should be committed to the scientist-practitioner training model. They should demonstrate a record of (or potential for) research productivity and extramural funding, clinical and research supervision, excellence in classroom teaching as well as mentoring outside of the classroom, and a commitment to cultural diversity. The program is open to any research areas relevant to Clinical Psychology. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong quantitative background and research interests in diversity, health psychology, assessment, or intervention.

Qualifications include: Ph.D. from an APA-accredited clinical psychology training program, completion of an APA-accredited internship, and readiness for licensure (post-doctoral supervision will be provided, if needed). Experience with ethnic minority/diverse populations preferred.

Salary/Compensation: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
