Post-Doctoral Fellows for Research Study of Veterans with PTSD


The National Center for PTSD, Behavioral Science Division, is seeking to hire one post-doctoral fellow to serve as a clinical interviewer for a multisite Department of Veterans Affairs-funded study comparing the effectiveness of Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy for reducing the severity of PTSD symptoms. Responsibilities will include conducting independent structured diagnostic interviews. Clinical hours and supervision for licensure, training in state of the art evidence-based treatment for PTSD, and collaborative opportunities with multiple active research programs are available. The successful candidate will have ample time and opportunities for working on manuscripts, grant applications, and independent research. Salary is competitive and work schedule is flexible. Application will be accepted until the position is filled and the duration of the position is 2 years with possibility of extension. Requirements for the position are a PhD in Clinical Psychology and suitable research and clinical experience, as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
