Geisinger Health System invites applicants for one remaining full-time post-doctoral fellowship position in integrated pediatric primary care working in a pediatric community-based primary care clinic within Geisinger Health System.
The position is available to begin July 1, 2014 (can be delayed until September 1, 2014) and is for one year. Three additional IPC positions have already been filled.
The fellow selected for the integrated pediatric primary care setting will participate in a system-wide implementation of an integrated care model by working in one of three Pediatric Clinics in the Geisinger system.  This innovative program for Geisinger Health System involves providing direct services to children, adolescents and families, consulting with primary care providers, education and training of primary care providers, and evaluation of integrated care services including assessment of cost offset and other outcome measures.  This fellow will also have the opportunity to participate in a multidisciplinary Pediatric Sleep Clinic.
While the position is primarily clinical in nature, the fellow will be expected to participate in research activities.  Candidates do not need to be seeking research careers to qualify.   There are opportunities to participate in ongoing treatment outcome research and/or develop new research projects.
Clinical or School Ph.D. or Psy.D. and completion of an APA-accredited internship with relevant experience required.  Salary and benefits are competitive. Geisinger is a well-respected healthcare system that includes multiple clinics and hospitals/trauma centers throughout central and northeastern PA – including Geisinger Medical Center as the hub, a Level I Trauma Center which is attached to Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.  Geisinger’s hospitals and clinics are located in a low-stress, rural area within a 3 hour drive of New York City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.
