Psychologist – Hasbro Children’s Partial Hospital and Med/Psych Inpatient Programs
 The Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI, a Lifespan partner and major teaching hospital of Brown Medical School, will be seeking three Clinical Psychologists to serve within their day treatment or inpatient hospital programs for children with complex medical and psychological issues.  Both the partial hospital and inpatient programs represent collaborative efforts of the Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  Both programs provide intensive, family centered, multidisciplinary intervention for children who have complex medical and psychological issues.  Children present with a wide range of illnesses including pain disorders , somatoform disorders, eating disorders  as well as a vast range of chronic medical illnesses complicated by non-adherence which have been unresponsive to standard outpatient and inpatient treatment. The positions involve provision of individual, family, and group therapy within the program and participation in clinical research. There may be opportunities for teaching psychology, psychiatry, and pediatric residents.  The candidates may be eligible for a clinical appointment at Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University.
