Part-time Psychologist Position on Autism Early Detection Study:

The ABCD Early Screening and Identification Project at UMass Boston (PIs: Alice Carter, Abbey Eisenhower) ishiring one or two part-time licensed psychologists to start in summer of 2014. This study, “Addressing Health Disparities in Autism Diagnosis, Service Utilization, and School Engagement Among Young Children Living in the Circle of Promise” is funded by a HRSA Autism Intervention Research Grant.

This individual would supervise Clinical Psychology doctoral students to conduct diagnostic assessments (ADOS-2, Mullen) with toddlers at risk for autism spectrum disorder, hold feedback sessions with families alongside student clinicians, provide supervision to student clinicians, and interact with families of toddlers with or at risk for ASD.  The ideal individual would have experience with the ADOS and experience working with toddlers with ASD; Spanish language ability is desirable but not required.

This position would begin in the summer of 2014 (ideally July) with the possibility of continuing for one or two years, or longer pending continued grant funding if mutually desirable.  Exact number of hours are flexible and can range from 8-24 hours (1-3 days/week); exact days are also flexible.
