Psychologist and Assistant Professor, Baylor College of Medicine

Full time Pediatric Psychologist position will open with an anticipated starting date of September, 2014. The position comes with a full time faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Section of Psychology, Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine. Duties involve direct patient care through an integrated behavioral health model in a new primary care medical home for pregnant women, children and families covered by the Texas Children's Health Plan. The location of the Center will be Southwest Houston. The Psychologist will also lead a team of behavioral health providers. While patient care is the priority, consistent with the academic appointment, some scholarship and teaching activities are expected.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree from an APA accredited Clinical Psychology program or other health care specialty (e.g., School, Counseling) and have completed an APA accredited internship and postdoctoral program with a child clinical or pediatric health psychology focus. A successful candidate will also have some experience in provision of behavioral health services to women. Experience in a primary care setting is highly desirable as is fluency in Spanish. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team is essential.
