Craig Haen, Ph.D.: Engaging Boys in Treatment: Creative Approaches to the Therapy Process

Dr. Haen has extensive experience working with youth, adults, and families in shelters, community centers, hospitals, residential facilities, schools, and on Native American reservations.  

He is currently in private practice. He also serves as adjunct faculty in the graduate drama therapy program at New York University, and co-teaches a research course to graduate students at Lesley University. He has co-chaired the American Group Psychotherapy Association's Child/Adolescent Special Interest Group since 2008, its Community Outreach Task Force since 2014, and serves on the Advisory Board of Creative Alternatives of New York. He has also served on the Editorial Committee for The International Journal of Group Psychotherapy and on the Editorial Board for the journal The Arts in Psychotherapy.

Laura Choate, Ph.D.: Adolescent Girls in Distress: A Guide for Mental Health Treatment and Prevention
Dr. Dr. Choate is Associate Professor of Counselor Education at Louisiana State University. 

In addition to the title above, she is author of Girls and Women's Wellness: Contemporary Counseling Issues and Interventions (2008) and Eating Disorders and Obesity: A Counselor's Guide to Prevention and Treatment (2013). She has also published extensively in professional journals.

Dr. Choate was awarded the 2013 Best Practices Award by the American Counseling Association for her work in the area of eating disorders treatment. She also serves on the Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners as the Board Vice-Chair and Chair of the Discipline Committee.
