Open rank, Tenure-track Faculty position in Alcohol Research, Binghamton University

Consistent with the University’s commitment to expand select research areas within an ongoing health sciences initiative, the Department of Psychology at Binghamton University (SUNY) invites applications for an open rank tenure track faculty position.  The successful candidate will have a strong background of research, training and teaching in the areas of the behavioral neuroscience of alcohol or other drugs of abuse, along with a record of research productivity, funding and administrative experience commensurate with rank.  This individual should have research interests that complement and extend ongoing research of the Developmental Exposure Alcohol Research Center (DEARC), a NIAAA-funded alcohol research center (see website at http://www.binghamton.edu/dearc/). Areas of specialization within the alcohol field are open, although alcohol researchers with experience in developmental and adolescent neuroscience are particularly encouraged to apply.  In addition to a strong interest in joining our highly collaborative and dynamic group of alcohol researchers, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching and research training in our department.

The Department provides a very supportive research environment with excellent resources and an environment strongly conducive to research.
