Psychologist Position Available Immediately (August 2014)
The Psychiatric Recovery Center (PRC) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the Mt. Sinai St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals has an exciting full-time Psychologist position available.
PRC offers evaluation and multidisciplinary treatment of psychotic spectrum disorders in adults. The position involves: providing individual, family and group treatment; collaborating with psychiatrists and other care providers; and teaching, supervision, and mentorship of psychology and psychiatry trainees. There are opportunities to engage in a wide array of the Department’s educational, research, CQI and program development activities. Additionally, opportunities exist within P.E.E.R, the first-episode psychosis program at PRC.
Qualifications:
* Competence in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (particularly as applied to psychosis), dialectical behavior therapy, group therapy and psychological assessment are required.
* Graduate of an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology
* Graduate of an APA-accredited psychology internship program
* NYS License
* The following are desirable but not required: experience treating co-occurring substance use disorders; capacity to speak Spanish.
The psychologist in this position will receive a competitive salary, benefits package, and academic appointment in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai (if appropriate).

The AOPC offers evaluation and multidisciplinary treatment of mood, anxiety, trauma-related, adjustment and personality disorders in adults. The position includes: providing individual and group treatment; collaborating with psychiatrists and other care providers; and teaching, supervision, and mentorship of psychology and psychiatry trainees. There are opportunities to engage in a wide array of the Department’s educational, research, CQI and program development activities.
Qualifications:
