University of Rochester Clinical Psychology Faculty Openings

Two Faculty Positions (tenured or tenure-track) in Clinical Psychology at the University of Rochester

The Department of Clinical and Social Sciences in Psychology at the University of Rochester seeks outstanding applicants for two tenured or tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The Clinical Psychology program, which has been continuously accredited by APA since 1948, is seeking a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology; area of specialization is open with excellence in research being a primary consideration.

Our department currently includes 15 faculty members in Clinical, Developmental, and Social-Personality Psychology. The department’s areas of excellence include developmental psychopathology, interpersonal relationships, and motivation. We are enthusiastic about building on and expanding our areas of expertise, particularly as interests relate to psychopathology. There is excellent collaboration among faculty across the different areas, and close ties to other groups in the University, particularly in Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Education, Cognitive Sciences, Neuroscience, and Engineering. Successful candidates will have Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals, an established innovative research program, the ability to secure external funding, and commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching excellence as demonstrated by teaching evaluations. Competitive salary and startup funds are available commensurate with experience.
