The Argosy Assessment & Intervention Clinic (AAIC) full-time Post-Doctoral Fellowship position is a year-long university based position that begins the second week of August (8/10/15) and lasts 52 weeks.  This fellowship provides the unique opportunity to gain experience in managing an outpatient mental health clinic.  In addition to the administrative tasks associated with management, fellows will gain experience with conducting comprehensive psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic assessments (all ages), providing therapy (all ages), and will be mentored through providing consultation and supervision to practicum students. The position also involves providing didactic training, management of ongoing AAIC research projects, site visits, and community outreach.  Fellows receive 2.5 hours of individual supervision and 1.5 hours of group supervision weekly, 1 hour of didactic training on university training issues weekly, and 1.5 - 3 hours of clinical didactic training on a monthly basis including an intensive R-PAS training.  Fellows receive a stipend of $24,000 for the year, paid vacation time from 12/21/15-1/1/16, and 8 additional holidays.  Additionally, fellows may take up to 5 further days of paid leave, although this may impact their ability to accrue 2000 hours of SPE.  Most of the work is done Monday through Friday; however, some Saturdays are required work days.  The fellowship is viewed as 40 hours per week for 52 weeks to total 2000 hours.  Fellows may be asked to work for more than 40 hours per week.

The Argosy Assessment and Intervention Clinic (AAIC) is dedicated to training the next generation of mental health professionals in the areas of psychological assessment and clinical service, with practices informed by psychological science, theory, and research. We are committed to providing psychological assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults, and to expanding the reach of psychological services through practice and research. We are affiliated with the PsyD in Clinical Psychology Program at the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area. Our staff is composed of Psy.D. graduate student practicum trainees, postdoctoral fellows, and licensed clinical supervisors. AAIC provides assessments following a Collaborative/Therapeutic Assessment model and works to meet clients’ needs from a variety of theoretical perspectives with an overarching humanistic view.
