Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of South Florida
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida in Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida announces a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical child psychology beginning Summer 2015. The fellowship requires a Ph.D./Psy.D. in Clinical, Counseling or School Psychology from an APA approved program, with an APA-approved internship (child specialization is desired but not necessary). Annual salary and fringe benefits are very competitive and consistent with NIH stipend. Excellent office space and computing resources are available.
The postdoctoral fellowship is in a major medical center in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area with a modest cost of living and high quality of life. The fellow will participate primarily in clinical treatment and research related to cognitive behavioral therapy for children with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and related disorders (e.g., trichotillomania, tic disorders, anxiety), as well as working with anxiety in youth with autism  spectrum disorders. In particular, the fellow will work on funded treatment studies within the department.  Experience with preschool age children is preferred but not required.  Most fellows stay for a second year of training, although this is dependent on the individual.
