Positions Available of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is one of the nation's top pediatric hospitals, ranked 4th in the country by Parents magazine and in all 10 specialties by U.S News & World Report. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Center contains a dynamic and collaborative staff of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and Master’s Level Therapists. These staff members work with a range of presenting problems including adjustment to health conditions, general child and adolescent psychology/psychiatry, and child maltreatment. The Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Center is currently expanding its inpatient, outpatient, and community services and has two openings for Psychologists at our main hospital clinic location.
Psychologist:  1.0 FTE position provides child health psychology services focusing on GI and feeding disorders. This position provides the opportunity to work in a thriving multidisciplinary feeding clinic with ongoing participation in both clinical and research arenas. Opportunities for inpatient consultation and liaison outside of feeding are also possible. Specialized training, including fellowship in child clinical or pediatric psychology is desirable.
Psychologist:  This is a .6 FTE position to provide child health psychology services to the Cystic Fibrosis population as well as other pediatric populations (e.g. diabetes) in an outpatient setting. We welcome applicants with interests in other chronic illness populations. Opportunities also exist for inpatient consultation and liaison work. Specialized training, including fellowship in child clinical or pediatric psychology is desirable.
Although these are primarily clinical positions, opportunities for research and teaching exist at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin through association with the Medical College of Wisconsin. The minimum requirements for the position include a Ph.D. or Psy.D in psychology, APA accredited internship in clinical child psychology or pediatric health psychology, and Post-Doctoral fellowship with specialization training in clinical child psychology.
