POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN PEDIATRIC PSYCHOLOGY, NEMOURS CHILDREN’S CLINIC, JACKSONVILLE, FL

Nemours Children’s Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is accepting applications for a fellowship in Pediatric Psychology beginningSeptember 1, 2015.  

This is a clinical position that includes specialized training in inpatient consultation, outpatient therapy, and psychological/neurocognitive assessment.  The Nemours Division of Psychology and Psychiatry includes 5 pediatric psychologists, 5 psychiatrists, and 2 nurse practitioners.  The Division of Psychology and Psychiatry is part of the Department of Pediatrics and works closely with the Divisions of Neurology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Endocrinology, Pulmonology, and Genetics.  One focus of the fellowship year will involve functioning as part of the multidisciplinary team in oncology and will include participation in Tumor Board, psychosocial rounds, neuro-oncology clinic, and the bone marrow transplant team.   Educational opportunities such as continuing education presentations, Grand Rounds, and multidisciplinary ethics rounds also are available.
Nemours Children’s Clinic is an outpatient children’s medical specialty clinic located in downtown Jacksonville (a city with a population of over 1 million) in the northeast corner of the state of Florida .Our main outpatient clinic campus is on the banks of the St. John’s River and 20 minutes from the Atlantic beaches. Nemours also has two satellite offices and serves a diverse population of patients.  Nemours Children’s Clinic is affiliated with Wolfson Children’s Hospital, an inpatient pediatric hospital in which Nemours clinicians function as attendings and provide many medical training opportunities.

Qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. from an APA-approved pediatric or clinical child psychology program and a pre-doctoral Internship from an APA approved site.  Annual salary and fringe benefits are competitive.  Onsite interviews will be offered to competitive candidates; we are not able to reimburse travel expenses for interviews.  Send a letter of interest and CV  to Lisa M.
