Postdoctoral Fellowship in Dialectical Behavior Therapy with Adolescents at Brown/Bradley Hospital

Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Clinical Psychology Training Consortium, Postdoctoral Fellowship in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A).

This APA-accredited postdoctoral fellowship is located in the Outpatient DBT Program at Emma Pendleton Bradley Hospital.  This program provides comprehensive, high-fidelity DBT treatment to adolescents ages 13-18 who present with chronic suicidality, non-suicidal self-injury, and/or other high-risk impulsive behaviors.  Fellows will receive intensive training and supervision in DBT (including completion of a five-day intensive seminar) and will provide all aspects of comprehensive DBT-A treatment (individual and family therapy, facilitation of multi-family skills training groups, and phone coaching), as well as clinical assessments, as part of a DBT consultation team.  Fellows will also design and participate in research focused on evaluating the efficacy of DBT for adolescents and on identifying individual, family, and systemic factors that mediate and moderate treatment outcomes.

Potential applicants should contact Jennifer Kittler, Ph.D, (Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and Outpatient DBT Program Manager) at 401-432-1261or jkittler@lifespan.org for additional information regarding the fellowship and application process.
