Department of Psychiatry at Zucker Hillside Hospital/North Shore -LIJ, Hofstra Medical School

The Department of Psychiatry at The Zucker Hillside Hospital and the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine is seeking a psychologist with expertise in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) to develop and lead a training program in CBT for psychiatry residents and psychology interns. The position will entail at least 50% didactic teaching and clinical supervision with the remainder comprising of clinical activities (aligned with the applicant’s interests), and, depending on the applicants goals and experience, possibly research. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-trained, highly motivated individual to have a significant impact on the training program and to advance an academic career.
Prior supervisory experience and clinical expertise with depression and anxiety disorders required.  Direct clinical activity can also be focused on candidate’s preferred interests.  Position interacts with our award-winning Behavioral Health College Partnership. 

The position comes with an appointment at the medical school (commensurate with experience level). There are many opportunities for research collaboration, including with members of the Department of Psychology at Hofstra.
Qualifications:
·       Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree from APA – accredited program in clinical psychology
·       New York State Clinical Psychologist License or license eligible.
·       Specialized training and supervision in cognitive-behavior therapy
