Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

The Pediatric Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program (P-MAP) under the direction of Vilma Gabbay, M.D., M.S., is a unique program in the greater New York metropolitan area dedicated exclusively to the study and treatment of adolescent depression and related problems. We are currently seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s level candidate for the position of Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC). The CRC will support the day-to-day activities of the research studies. Additionally, the CRC will be responsible for scheduling, management, subject recruitment, and administrative coordination of several studies investigating adolescent depression and Tourette’s disorder using neuroimaging, blood analysis, and clinical trial methodologies. This position takes direction from the Principal Investigator, Dr. Vilma Gabbay, and post-doctoral fellows to assist in facilitation of laboratory activities and implementation of research protocols. • Assist PI with grant writing and management
• Assist PI with editing research articles and preparing poster presentations
• Perform literature searches
• Create and manage databases and prepare data for analysis
• Create and organize study binders
• Schedule visits and maintain study schedules for each patient
• Administer assessments and collect vital signs from study patients
• Collect data including parent, teacher and clinician forms
• Escort patients for blood draws and MRI scans
• Submit annual protocol summary forms and consent forms to the Institutional Review

Minimum requirements are a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field; a strong background in biology or neuroscience; and prior research and/or clinical experience. This is a two-year commitment starting in July of 2015. Minimum Related Experience: Prior experience in performing neuroimaging and neuropsychological studies. 1 year of laboratory or clinical experience.
