2 Assistant Professor Positions at the University of North Texas

The Department of Psychology at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. Areas of specialization are open with a preference for the expertise to fit with one or more of our three doctoral programs. Thus we seek candidates with an active and potentially externally fundable program of research in any number of areas that complement the current faculty strengths. Responsibilities will include maintaining a strong published research program, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising graduate student research, and serving on departmental committees. Those candidates interested in the Clinical or Counseling Psychology programs should be licensed or licensed-eligible.
Minimum Qualifications for these positions:


Ph.D. in Psychology at the time of appointment
Engagement in impactful research pertaining to Clinical, Counseling Psychology or Behavioral Science


Preferred Qualifications:
Record of applying for and ideally receiving extramural funding
High quality publications and professional presentations
Evidence of competence in undergraduate and/or graduate teaching
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Research that addresses or is relevant to diversity, especially with members of historically underrepresented racial/ethnic groups and LGBT communities.
